Yashoda (यशोदा), is the mother of Krishna and wife of Nanda. She is the most important mother figure in Indian mythology. Yashoda played an integral part in Shri Krishna’s childhood. In Bhagavatha we can see how much Yashoda loved Krishna.Mother's love for her children is selfless and indescribable in any form. They hold a special place in child's heart and their relationship is so pure that it cannot be describe in words.
The relationship between Yashoda and Krishna is not just a bond between a mother and her son. In a way, she is one of the most ardent devotees of lord Krishna. Even when a mother has done everything possible for her child, she still wonders whether she could have done more. To worry over a child is the prerogative of any mother. To worry over the One who is in charge of this Universe was the prerogative of only one mother - Yasoda.
